This week’s design spotlight features the brand of our MASTERY agents Joanna and Kyle Parks, from Gig Harbor, Washington. This dynamic husband-wife duo began the branding process with the dream of owning their own brokerage. They are passionate about hiking and camping, and wanted a brand that showcased a natural panorama. Joanna and Kyle wanted a brand that was natural and a little dramatic.The logo for their business, Destination Homes, incorporates a compass rose in the structure of the “D”. Blue ribbons are give the theme a luxurious accent and convey wind-like motion.
The header and footer feature golden parchment textures embellished by slim blue and brown pinstripes. They drew on the local imagery of forested hills and combined it with twilight shades of blue. The streaking burst of light under their logo draws attention to the content and looks rich and luminous on their print marketing pieces. Their cutout portraits overlap the bars of the footer to help them stand out. They combined a clean sans-serif font with an elegant serif-swash font. Joanna and Kyle focus on complimentary markets, and their brand caters to a wide range of buyers and sellers.
