A Huge “Thank You” to the National Association of REALTORS®

I have been a member of the National Association of REALTORS® as long as I can remember and as long as I have been licensed. I wouldn’t have it any other way.  It is the one expense I write a check for every year that I truly feel is one of the best yearly investments I can make for my business and for the future of my children.  While this may sound dramatic, NAR’s goal of protecting homeownership, both presently and in the future, is something I appreciate and enjoy each and every day. I also hope that future generations get to enjoy those privileges as well.

The real estate industry has seen a lot of change in the past ten years. Some of that change has been beneficial for property owners and some not so much. The National Association of REALTORS® is always there in the background lobbying and fighting for the rights of its REALTORS® members and homeowners.  In addition to lobbying, they also do a great job of keeping REALTOR® members informed about how we can ban together to fight for these rights.

Recently there have been numerous issues that have threatened the right of our clients and NAR has been on the forefront of the battle to keep our interests intact.  NAR provides the best research, data, information and in-depth reporting on what is happening in our industry and keeps us informed about what we need to know. We are privileged to have such an organization who has our back.

Thank you, NAR, for providing me with information that allows me to do my job effectively.  Thank you for holding your members to the highest possible standard and elevating the professionalism in our industry.  Thank you for giving me tools that make me stand out as a professional.

Thank you, Washington REALTORS® and the individual state and local Associations across the country for fighting for our local rights such as finding a resolution to the Hirst Decision. And thank you to all the volunteers who tirelessly give their time and resources to protect homeownership. You inspire me every day and I thank you for your sacrifice. Kitty Wallace of Cle Elum Windermere Real Estate, Amber Soria of Soria Real Estate in Burlington, and Rich Bergdahl of Kirkland RE/MAX, I am talking to you.

And for anyone reading this today just go to a few of the links below and it will be clear why I so appreciate the work that NAR does on our behalf.  For example, the recent Tax Reform Bill has caused many homeowners and real estate agents to step back and wonder how they will be affected by this.

So the next time you are called upon to write that check for your membership and you pause…write the check and do it with a big smile on your face because there is amazing work being done every day for you.

And to all my fellow Realtor members check out the NAR Website and Realtor Action Center site to see just how much NAR is doing for you.

And if you want to make even a bigger difference, consider giving to RPAC:
