A: What a great question! First of all, I coach many, many agents who are successful without the use of a tablet device … as well as many who use them. If you are going to use a tablet, it’s critical that you practice, practice, practice so that your presentation is flawless. There’s nothing worse than trying to use technology to present yourself as an expert … all the while fumbling your way through your presentation. The one thing I do want to caution you on is this: often when we rely on technology to roll out presentations we become disengaged from our clients, who find their eyes drawn to a screen, rather than the agent’s face. If you add a tablet to your presentation, be sure to build in time that helps you build rapport with clients along the way.
