This week’s branding spotlight features the brand and marketing of MASTERY agent Carolyn Lathrop, from Seattle, Washington. Carolyn wanted a simple and elegant brand that would add polished consistency to her marketing campaigns. She brought a simple line-house logo to the branding process and we designed the rest of her brand to match. Her timeless color palette includes dark gray, gold, and pale parchment tones. The thin frame at the edge of her design acts as a unique boundary makes her printed materials identifiable and chic. The sans-serif font we used features modern, minimalist lines that match her house logo, while the classic serif font provides a contrast as well as a classic and reliable undertone to each of her marketing materials. In the characteristic style of many modern authors and artists, her name treatment is entirely lower-case, which speaks to her approachable and contemporary style.
