Q:  Denise, what do you think about receipt scanning and filing systems?

A:  I think this is a great idea if you plan to keep up with it each month. If not, then you will have some receipts scanned, some not, and organization of these can be a challenge. Furthermore, if you scan receipts you must make sure that you have a backup of these receipts in the event of computer crash. If you are not willing to do these things, then I would say stick to good old-fashioned paper receipts.
